Undo, Redo, and Clipboard

Undo mistakes, redo changes, and use copy/paste to speed up your editing.

Undo and redo

ActionShortcut
Undo⌘Z
Redo⌘⇧Z

Up to 100 states in history. Every timeline operation is undoable: moves, splits, trims, effect changes, color grading, keyframe edits, transitions, track additions/removals.

Continuous interactions

Dragging a slider, moving a clip, or adjusting a color wheel records only the final result (on mouse release) as a single undo step — intermediate states are not tracked.

Clipboard

ActionShortcutEffect
Cut⌘XRemove selected clips, place on clipboard
Copy⌘CCopy selected clips to clipboard
Paste⌘VInsert clipboard contents at playhead position
Duplicate⌘DCopy + paste in place (duplicates appear after originals)

Pasted clips land at the playhead on the same track(s) as the originals. Linked clips are pasted together.

On Windows and Linux, replace with Ctrl.
